Idemili north LGA mayor Commissions First Ultra Modern Park in Anambra, offers drivers 5 Days Free tolls

The Mayor of Idemili North Local Government Area, INLGA, Hon Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Global) has commissioned the first ultra modern park built by Barr. Asha Nnabuife a former chairman of the local government council and handed over to the LGA under the Public Private Community Partnership PPCP initiative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State.

Speaking during the commissioning of the park situated at Eke Nkpor Uno which was named eke nkpor uno Central Motor Park, Chief Stanley Nkwoka who also represented Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the event thanked the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Barr Asha Nnabuife for embracing the PPCP initiative and for making INLGA the first place where such a park with modern facilities was built by an individual to standard and handed over to the government urging others to emulate him.

According to Nkwoka, this is PPCP an initiative of the present administration.
This is a positive change happening in Nkpor. This is the first of this kind of park in Anambra State with all these modern facilities.

“The best thing that happened to Anambra State in the recent times is the election of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as Governor of Anambra State. The second thing is the LGA election and Soludo was the number one Governor to implement LG autonomy.

“During the Christmas INLGA was number one in road palliative, zero pot holes. So,I want Idemili North LGA to come out first with a wide margin in all the 21 LGAs in the coming guber election because our Governor has great ideas and vision to better the lives of Anambra people just like the PPCP initiative, Youth cum human capital development and massive infrastructural development among other numerous projects.

“Presently, Parks administration is under the LGA and as this park starts operation today Thursday 6th March nobody should collect any toll or levies from drivers and Keke riders for the next 5 days,then by Tuesday 11th March,2025 IGR can start up here”.

“From Tuesday Digital Enumeration and Collection will start in Idemili North LGA and we can do this Uzo Ofuu road and many other projects without necessarily involving the Governor.

Earlier in his address, the donor, Chief Barr Asha Nnabuife welcomed the Mayor and in extension His Excellency Gov soludo to his hometown saying that he was happy to identify with the State’s PPCP initiative and promised to grade and expand the Uzo- Ofuu road which connects the Eke Nkpor- Nnobi road and leads to Afor Nkpor -Awka old road.
said he,this is the first program Governor Soludo initiated encouraging individuals and private organizations all over Anambra communities to adopt PPCP program and look for something tangible to do for their Communities because government cannot do everything alone.

“This is the first place that we are carrying out this PPCP program, the first of its kind in Idemili North and first of this kind of millennial park fully secured with modern gadgets in Anambra State”.

“Ochendo is doing well because I have been there at INLGA seat for 8 years and I know who is doing well or not. Abatete and Nkpor are brothers so we must support our own and support him for his competence.

“This park is a role model. African Dubai Taiwan is to do things in a unique and model way to meet international standards.

“This road in front of this park is called Uzo ofuu and I told the Mayor that I will grade and expand this road to Afor Nkpor, then I and the Mayor will plead with the governor to tar the road after constructing the road.

“The essence of this park is to make it nearer to the people. We got four locations to site this park but the LG Works Authority approved this particular place.

This park which will be kept clean and managed by APGA youths would be retouched yearly to maintain its aesthetics.

“This is a gesture to prove that Nkpor is for APGA. I built this park without asking for any interest but to generate revenue for the LGA. I have paid a major chunk of this park’s revenue up to one year to the INLGA, although there could be outstanding levies which can be addressed regularly.

“Please, I urge the management of this park not to hike the Levies for drivers and Keke riders so that the passengers and in extension residents and indigenes of INLGA will not suffer,” Nnabuife said.

Former Deputy Chairman INLGA and President Ububa Nkpor Youths Movement, Hon Chike Chikeze after eulogizing the trio of Nnabuife, Nkwoka and Soludo assured them that APGA is for Nkpor and Nkpor is for APGA.

Hon Chikeze who warned hoodlums to steer clear of the park stated that the ultramodern park has modern toilet facilities with a water borehole, CCTV camera for 24 hours surveillance and security, 24 hours lighting system. He said that the neatness of the park sparkling with the new Anambra State colors would be maintained.

Moreover, the Special Adviser on Parks and Markets to INLGA, Engr Emmanuel Idemili (Emma Gulder) advised the new Eke Nkpor Uno Central Motor Park management to collaborate with the management of the other existing park in the neighborhood on the particular park that drivers taking different routes should be using to avoid clash of interest or multiple taxation.

Other Distinguished personalities present include the INLGA Leader of Councillors, Hon Samuel Anikpe Wester Oyinatumba, INLGA Secretary, Hon Paul Okoye, Chief of Staff, Hon Chukwunonso Dim (Udala Mbaukwu), PA to former INLGA Chairman, Barr. Buchi Okechukwu, APGA party Stakeholders, Former PG Nkpor Chief Emeka Mbagha, among others.
