SOGG Onitsha South Local Government Joins Others On Walk For Life

A women’s group, Supporters of Good Governance, SoGG, Anambra State in preparation of the International Women’s Day which took place at Dora Akunyili Awka, before yesterday rally round the streets for a walk for life to sensitize the general public and to create an awareness on the visions and missions of the group.

The group which are in the 21 Local Governments of the State is in support of the good governance and they are out to support Governor Charles Soludo’s good governance in the state by saying No to Rascality and criminality in Anambra State.

Onitsha South Local Government on flagging off the event at Godwin Achebe Stadium, the wife of the Mayor of the area, Mrs Flora Orji who was represented by the Speaker of the legislative Council in the area, Hon.Mrs Regina Udeogalanya said”I welcome you all to this 2025, walk for life of SoGG in preparation of the International Women’s Day.

“We are here to support our governor in war against crime, we are to rise up together for better future if our families, state and nation in general, let us come together towards a freedom where every individual can live with peace, love and respect, therefore say No To Rape, Fake Ezenwanyi, Dibias, Wife/Husband Battling, Drugs Abuse, Child Abuse, Oke Ite, etc. therefore I flag it off today.

In an interview with Newsmen, the Onitsha South Local Government Coordinator, SoGG Mrs Olisa Obianuju said that the group in support of good governance,we are out to say no to the evil vices that are happening in our societies,no to rape,no to molestation,no to drug abuse,no to Rascality and others

I appeal to the women of Onitsha South to support and be an ambassador for peace and good governance, they should conduct themselves in an orderly manner and train their children in the upright way, because the family is the bed rock, I also advise them to report any case that is happening within their locality.

For any case,it should be reported to the ward coordinators, their phone contact is available to reach them,if the case can’t be handled at the community level, then it goes to the state level.

In her words, the Ward Coordinator of Fegge 3, Hon Mrs Ego Augustina charged every women to support the good governance of Governor Charles Soludo on fighting crimes stating that it would be possible to be achieved if we work collectively with the government.

She disclosed that the group has being in existence for long but many people are ignorant of it, advised Anambrarians, residence of Onitsha South to say something if they see something, to report any criminal activities or Rascality to the ward coordinators of which can be taken to the local government level or state if the ward coordinator cannot handle such.

The group with placards went through the streets of Fegge, Housing Estate, Woliwo and Odoakpu with inscriptions, Say “No to Rascality”, “Say No to Drug Abuse”, Say No to Ezenwanyi”,they also chart their slogan
