HOW MBEKEBE’S FAMILY, FRIENDS CONSPIRED, “RE-KIDNAPPED” HIM WITH SURPRISED BIRTHDAY BASH

Barely, one month Chief Linus Iroha popularly known as Mebekebe, the Organizing Secretary of All Progressive Congress, APC Imo State Chapter was kidnapped, spent days with torture and released from the dungeon of the kidnappers after paying ransom in hard currency, his wife Mrs Ngozi Iroha, the children and good friends conspired and hosted him to a surprised but exotic birthday party at a three star restaurant in Owerri.

Though Mrs. Iroha and her children were the pilots of the conspiracy but Barr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo, the ruling party state chairman was the perfect executioner while Prof and Prof. Mrs Obioma Iheduru were the tacticians and strategists in which His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Oliver Chinedu Ohanweh ( Obi Gburugburu of Ihim Ancient Kingdom) became terrific combatant commander in-charge with HRH Eze Eric Uchegbu (Ano of Nneano Agbaja, Ehime Mbano) was eminently qualified and totally in control of the armoury as a launching pad for the delightful conspiracy offensives.

Truely, it was an evergreen birthday party as naive Mbekebe was sweet tonguely talked into attending a caucus political meeting only to be ushered into a dark but exquisite restaurant by Nlemigbo and cohorts, before he could say this place is so dark, the light was on and surprisingly he saw the faces of his old good but reliable friends including the conspirators clapping for him with a trumpeter swiftly but melodiously oozing out happy birthday songs and soul melting praises songs with the invitees mimicking the choruses.

The environment changed and the transfigured Mbekebe became a weeping child of goose pimples as tears of speechless joy roll down his chicks just as it seemed that his manhood quickly but for the interim obeyed the law of gravity.

Eze Ohanweh who narrated how Mrs.Iroham recruited him into the conspiracy of the surprised evening birthday bash expressed gratitude to Chief Tony Chukwu(Onweghi ihekariri Chukwu) whom he said was inadvertently absent due to business commitments describing him as humane, compassionate, patriotism and philanthropist par excellence.

The first class traditional ruler further extolled the virtues of the invitees whom he said are friends indeed while thanking Mrs Iroham for her unconditional love to the husband and bread winner of the family.

Speaking, Nlemigbo described all the threats by the kidnappers when they held Mbekebe in their den as ” sharaka oleje” noting the wife as a woman of indomitable courage and faith who also dearly loved her husband revealing that her disturbances during the trial period honestly subjected him into series of actions geared towards his early and safe release.

He thanked members of the family for their steadfastness, unity of purpose and brotherly love while expressing gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his concerns and contributions during Mbekebe’s trial period with his abductors.

The APC boss advised married men to atimes be foolish in dealing with their wives informing that women have some divine gifts and messages that protect their husbands and children even as an instrument for family growth.

In his contributions, HRH Eze Eric Uchegbu also recalled how Mrs. Ngozi Iroha whom he described as his “little sister” conscripted him into the conspiracy of the secret birthday bash.

According to him” I was deceptively given an undetailed invitation by Mrs Ngozi Iroham and with military despatch to honor. The issue of the kidnappers must not be discussed here. It has gone and left in the hands of God”.

He offered his royal prayers and blessings to the family asking God to bless Mbekebe with His Grace of more years saying as his inlaw there are alot of things he is yet to do for his people as an illustrious inlaw whom they are well pleased.

While Prof and Prof Mrs Obioma Iheduru pointed out that God and Heavenly beings had already celebrated the Chief Host hence man is just a pencil in God’s hand.

He reassured of God’s guidance in the affairs of men thus the maxim,Man proposes God deproposed while commending the wife of the celebrant and children for living up to expectations and an endearing family love.

Responding, Iroha who expressed gratitude for the labour of love of the conspirators and the special invitees prayed for God’s abundant blessings and assured them of greater mutual relationship.

He also thanked God for giving him a childhood wife of his heart desire for over 31 years ago praying that in his next reincarnation that God will make it possible for him to marry a woman like Ngozi as his wife.

The Chief Host further enjoined the invitees to thank God on his behalf for giving him a peaceful and lovingly wife while commending each of the conspirators for playing one significant role in his life upliftments.

Highlight of the occasion was the cutting of the anniversary cake by the Chief Host, his wife and children as well as the special invitees.
