Group Inaugurates Obiano’s Aide As National Patron
The Special Adviser To Governor Obiano On Local Government, Chief Alex Onukwue has been inaugurated as the National Patron of Movement For Good Governance and Conscience: Soludo For Governor (MGGC).
The group, whose aim is to promote good governance, peace and democracy dividend to doorsteps of every one Anambra, is also championing and canvassing support for Professor Charles Soludo to be the next governor of the state come November 2021.
Welcoming the group at his residence in Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, Chief Onukwue who was the former National President of Anambra State Association Of Town Unions (ASATU), said he accepted the offer because the group champions good governance which is seriously lacking in our society.
Chief Onukwue noted that it also gladdens his heart that they are promoting Professor Charles Soludo to become the governor of Anambra State come November 6 who he strongly believes that he has manage the State’s scare resources to better the lot of Ndi Anambra.
Chief Onukwue commended Governor Obiano for setting the pace and touching the lives of Ndi Anambra in making sure that the democracy dividends get to the doorsteps of Ndi Anambra.
The Grand Patron of the group, Chief Kenneth Nwachukwu said they came to Chief Alex Onukwue because of his sterling qualities and contributions towards the development of all the communities in the state during his tenure as the national president of ASATU and therefore hopes that he will take them to an enviable height.
The National Chairman of the group, Sir Uche Egbebike in an address of welcome, said Chief Onukwue is now their political proboscis pleading him to support them.
The President General of Ezi-Aguluotu Aguleri, Chief Edwin Agbata while commending the MGGC for choosing Chief Onukwue, said they made the right decision for he will work tirelessly to see they achieve their aims and visions.
The Traditional Ruler of Ezi-Aguluotu Aguleri, Igwe Lawrence Nwofia and his cabinet members as well as members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) of Ezi-Aguluotu Aguleri while the presentation of certificate to Chief Alex Onukwue by the group added glamour to the program.
