Gov Sule, Nasarawa APC National/ State lawmakers decide on Party CT chairnan

Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has been supported by both the National and state assembly lawmakers for the creation of the APC care taker committee for the next Six months.

This was following the dissolution of all EXCO of the party from the national levels down to the local government and wards level,in a decision taken by National Executive Council of the party on Tuesday.

Nasarawa state APC had lost it’s chairman ,Mr Philip Shekwo,who was brutally murdered last month in his residence of Lafia

This however means that before the NEC decision, Nasarawa state APC was in need of who will replace the vacant position.

But in a the wisdom of the party’ s stakeholders at an emergency meeting at the instances of governor Abdullahi Sule,senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and Senator Abdullahi Adamu, along with current serving house of representatives members,supported by the state legislators,took a bold step.

Briefing newsmen at the resumed of the meeting in the Dr Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall,Governor, Abdullahi Sule said the meeting was necessitated on the peaceful and maturity of members of the APC in Nasarawa state.

Governor Sule ,said at the moment and following the dissolution of the exco from the unit,ward, local government and upto the state levels ,including some of the remaining excos at the National level were dissolved.

” And so as a party we can not continue to exist as a party without an EXCO.

Meanwhile,journalists were asked to leave as the meeting entered a closed door session.

However, after an hour ,it was gathered that the stakeholders agreed that the governor come up with a suitable name who is from the western zone and most be a Christian that will replace the late chairman, as the caretaker chairman .

The meeting also agreed to reinstate all the state, local government and wards EXCO for that duration of Six months.

The chairman Lafia, local government area who doubles as the ALGON chairman, Honourable, Aminu Muazu Maifata,after the closed door meeting coraborated with the decision so far taken by the critical stakeholders .

He said Nasarawa state APC is the most peaceful and has respect for its leaders,which arriving at the decision was in the interest of the party, without rancour.
