Breaking: Former PS, Mamman, to lead Nasarawa APC for six months.

After a long hour of waiting from an emergency meeting of the Nasarawa state APC to decide who becomes the successor of late Philip Shekwo,that will lead the party for six months as the caretaker chairman, Chief John Mamman has been appointed .

The decision was Unanimously taken by all party stakeholders at the instances of former governors,currently serving in the national assembly,as well as some members of the federal house of representatives.

Also in attendance,were members of the state house of assembly past and present,local government chairmen and some of the earlier dissolved SWC members,who were however reabsorbed.

John Mamman ,before this appointment was the Special Adviser to the governor on Local Government ,Chieftaincy and community Development,having retired from civil service in the capacity of permanent secretary in the same Ministry.

The meeting was conveyed by governor Abdullahi Sule and attended by Senator Tanko Al-Makura, senator Abdullahi Adamu,Honourable Wadada among many other former and serving commissionesrs.

With the appointment of the caretaker chairman,the vacant position of the state APC chairman occasion by the brutal murder of Chief Philip Shekwo and the NEC decision which dissolved excos of the party at all levels,governor Sule had earlier said the other dissolved are to retain their position along with the caretaker chairman.
