Fountain city estate landlords Ibusa delta state send SOS message to Gov. Sheriff Oboriwori as 25 members lost their lives over wanton destruction of their properties

Sequel to reported deaths of about twenty five members of fountain city estate Ibusa delta state landlords association as a result of heartache, stroke, hypertension emanating from wanton destruction of their properties carried by unknown thugs allegedly hired by Umuodafe family of Ibusa the original owners of the land where the estate is located who they bought the land from, the leadership of the estate has passionately appealed to Gov. Sheriff Oboriwori the hardworking governor of the state to urgently intervene and look into their plight and ensure that justice is done to them as well as save the lives of their members who most of them purchased their properties with their hard earned live savings.

Speaking further, Rev. Owen Ebubechukwu the chairman of the estate who spoke while weeping profusely told newsmen while brandishing relevant documents concerning the purchase of the land, that they fulfilled all conditions as well as paid all necessary financial obligations to relevant authorities before they were granted the right of ownership of the land. He stated that before paying for the land that they went to the state government for a search and was told that the land belonged to Umuodafe family of Ibusa and not the property of the government.
While passionately pleading to the governor to look into their case, he stated that they members of fountain city had the confidence that Gov. Sheriff Oboriwori who listens to the poor and defenceless will do justice to the matter and stop further deaths of their members as a result of shock arising from destruction of their legally acquired properties.

Also speaking, Mr. Akeem Lasisi, the secretary and a key stakeholder of the estate noted that their plight emanated from corrupt tendencies of some members of Umuodafe family who are conniving with some corrupt government officials in the delta state land ministry, who he said knows the truth about the land that the fountain city landlord are the rightful owners of the land in question but decided to be mischievous so as to snatch the land from them thinking that because they are poor that they can’t be able to fight for their rights.

While pointing an accusing finger on an unnamed cabals in the delta state ministry of lands, he appealed to Gov Oboriwori to intervene, investigate and find the truth adding that they members of the estate believed that they are pursing them because they are poor people who has nobody to fight for their course but stated that they believed God will use Gov. Oboriwori to rescue them.

On her part, Mrs. Maureen Dumbiri, a pensioner who spoke on behalf of all pensioners who are members of the estate, said that most of them purchased their properties with their lives saving and was aware that everything concerning the purchase of the land was done legally. She stated that since the wanton destruction of their properties that not less than twenty five members of their estate has died with others suffering one hypertensive related illness or the other and appealed to Gov. Oboriwori to help them as a child of God he is.
Adding his voice,Mr Imaah Daniel the president of osadenis teachers cooperative society of the estate described the whole development as worrisome to all their members stressing that the wanton destruction of their hard earned legally acquired properties is wicked, ungodly and called the state governor to come to their help.
