Fed Poly Oko Alumni Honours Deputy Rector, Bursar; Sets agenda on 40th Years Anniversary

The Federal Polytechnic Oko Alumni Association Worldwide has commended two of its distinguished members who were recently elevated to the positions of principal officers of the Polytechnic.
The 12th Governing Council of the institution, led by Senator Banabas Gemade, recently ratified the appointment of Ven. Dr. Ferguson Ezeokafor as Deputy Rector (Administration) and Mr. Jasper Ugochukwu Anunike as the substantive Bursar of the Polytechnic.
During a courtesy visit to the newly appointed officers in their respective offices, members of the Alumni Association, led by the National President, Nze Henry Chukwuka Nnebe, congratulated them on their well-deserved appointments.
The association described their elevation as a testament to their years of dedicated service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the institution.
Nze Nnebe expressed confidence that under their stewardship, the Federal Polytechnic Oko would witness strengthened administrative effectiveness and sustained progress.
He also assured the officers of the association’s continued support and prayers while calling for stronger synergy between their offices and the Alumni body.
“It is a thing of joy that under our administration, our members have emerged as Deputy Rector (Administration)—the first alumnus to attain that position—and also the fourth alumnus to serve as substantive Bursar
This is evidence that our Polytechnic is doing very well,” he said.
He further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Alumni Association and the institution’s leadership, noting that such partnership would help groom younger alumni and strengthen institutional stability.
“I hereby solicit for synergy with the association because it is only through such cooperation that the younger ones will be groomed. When alumni take part in the administration of their alma mater, the institution gains stability,” he added.
Nze Nnebe also noted that the Alumni Association is particularly proud of the institution’s steady growth and achievements over the years. He revealed that the association will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, a milestone that will provide an opportunity for members to reflect on their journey and take stock of their contributions and achievements toward educational development.
Other members who joined in congratulating the Deputy Rector and the Polytechnic Bursar include the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Nwabu Ezemba, the National treasurer, Comrade Gabriel Nwafor, the national director of welfare, Dr. Beatrice Ezechukwu, secretary, Alumni Association, Oko Branch,
Comrade Ofodile Stephen and the branch Protocol Officer,
Mrs. Adibe Justina.
In their separate responses, Dr. Ferguson Ezeokafor, Deputy Rector (Administration), and Mr. Jasper Anunike, the Bursar, expressed appreciation to the national president and other members of the association for the visit and show of solidarity.
They noted that such encouragement would continue to inspire them to work harder for the benefit of the institution and the entire Polytechnic community while reaffirming their commitment to supporting the growth and development of Federal Polytechnic Oko.
