As a Professor of Nutritional and Environmental Biochemistry, the President of UNIZIK Farmers Association and an ex-seminarian who cares deeply about the welfare of the people who live in the same world with him and prays for the welfare of all mankind, I have just few questions to ask you. If you answer these conscientiously and honestly to yourself, then I’ll be glad your decisions are taken in knowledge and love for yourself first before others.

Have you eaten garden egg and the colour changes brown? Was it like that many years back? What could be the cause? Do you notice some tomatoes can stay for some days on the kitchen table/cupboard and instead of getting watery and spoil, they shrink and keep drying up. What could be the cause too for either of the noticed changed? Do you know the difference between organic grown food and fertilizer grown food? I’m not talking about GMO (GMF= Genetically Modified Food). Do you really care about the source and the hygiene of your food materials? We’ve seen banana ripened with carbide, hot water and all that. Recently as I was driving from Ugwuoba to Amansea one early morning, I was told that a cow being carried in a wooden truck was dead but has to be sent to slaughter to be sold at a cheaper rate. I refused to believe the person telling me that. Do you know what is used to preserve can foods? The chemicals for preservation, like in those days of turkey when they use same chemical used for embalming corpse on turkey. We’ve seen mangoes dipped in gutters and sold afterwards. The list is endless.

Source of food?:
In all these above, confirm for me your source and how sure you’re it’s very safe? If it’s not safe, what precautions are you taking for yourself, family and loved ones to reduce the intake of unsafe foods into your body?

Could these be the reason for so much kidney diseases being suffered today. I read recently of the dialysis process of the kidney and what one has to reduce the intake of, or increase ones sleep, exercise, exposure to sun, water, fruits and vegetables. I paused quickly to ask again of how pure or clean these products are and how free from contaminations, like chemicals, etc are they?

UNIZIK bread:
How long does the bread you buy out there last; remain soft and fresh or develop molds and become hard like “akpu”? What chemicals are used in its production, not just about sweetness and flavour. Remember, what you consume today may be the cause of illnesses for you tomorrow. UNIZIK bread has been produced with good taste, much carefulness and natural ingredients to avoid posing danger to one’s life now nor in the future. I’m sure you don’t remember UNIZIK bread still exist. Do I mention some of the things that are added in bread that you may not know isn’t healthy for your family yet you just enjoy sweetness more than healthy living and eating. UNIZIK bread is processed by the standard that Professors who are incharge care more for their children and youths than making profit. That’s why dividends to investors are taking too long to recover.

Try to ensure that 40% (ie pass mark) of what you eat is safe, healthy and possibly you know the source. More than 40% is possible too if you choose. Organic farming is still possible and the best for you today. You can start today!

I’m sure you’re thinking of how to help your life and that of the unborn generation. You are free to say that man must die by something someday but please don’t blame Satan when your ordeals is from your poor or careless decisions today. A stitch in time saves nine. Make that wise decision now. You can’t be poor and at the same time hate yourself by not caring about the sources and quality and not quantity of your food intake.

Food is not anything that has taste and occupy space my beloved!

Shalom
