Farmers Commend Anambra Govt over farm inputs

Farmers in Aguata Local Government Area have applauded Anambra state government over its impressive steps to boosting agriculture.
The farmers gave the commendation while sharing farm inputs made available to them by the state government, aimed at boosting their farming activities.
Items distributed included twenty-five bundles of improved cassava stems, two bags of organic fertilizer, two bags of agric Lime and three bags of hybrid maize among others. Speaking at the event, the Head of Agric Department, Aguata Local Government Area,
Mrs. Ifeoma Iloyalu, who supervised the distribution, expressed satisfaction at the peaceful conduct of community representatives that received the inputs.
Mrs. Iloyalu, who urged them to take advantage of the inputs to boost their yield, also took time to educate them on how best to space the cassava stems during planting to achieve maximal harvest.
She enjoined farmers to keep COVID-19 protocols as stipulated by World Health Organisation, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Anambra state government to stay alive and enjoy this year’s harvests.
Representatives from Nkpologwu, Akpo, Ezinifite and Amesi, Mr. Emmanuel Nwosu, Sunday Ezenwata, Emmanuel Okeke and Declan Ezeanya respectively, who prayed God to keep Governor Willie Obiano in good health and sound mind for more of these laudable initiatives, promised to share them to deserving farmers peacefully.
