It was pomps and pageantries at its best and a gathering of important personalities from politics, commerce and government in all aspect of Anambra society during the burial of Lady Roseline Anyaorah (nee Nwankwo) the mother of Chief Arinze S.B. Anyaorah the former president general of Federal Trans Nkisi Landlord Association (F.T.L.A.) at his home town Uffa Village Aguluzigbo in Anaocha L.G.A. on January 5th, 2024.
Leading the pack of personalities who graced the colourful and high-profile burial ceremony includes, Mr. Peter Obi former governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, Senator representing Anambra Central in the Red Chambers, Senator Mrs Uche Ekwunife, the Director General of South East Governor’ Forum, Gov. Chukwuma Soludo represented by his principal secretary Chief J.P.C. Anieto, Chief Dozie Nwankwo, Ex Federal Legislator, Igwe Godwin Odiegwu, Igwe of Abacha Town, captain of industries, business moguls, state legislators, town union president generals who came on the umbrella of ASATU Anambra Central Zone among others.
Preaching a sermon during the burial mass, Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese assisted by numerous Catholic Priests in attendance admonished Christians to always live a Godly and selfless life to God.
The Bishop who acknowledged the deceased commitment to the things of God and her devotional life to the service of Catholic Church in the community especially on the areas of caring for the welfare of trainee priests which led to her been regarded in the community as Mother of Seminarians, tasked all Christians to emulate such virtue to work for God in wherever or whatever they find themselves just as he prayed for the family of Anyaorah to bear the loss with fortitude.
Earlier in a vigil mass preceding the burial proper which was conducted in the deceased husband compound Uffa Village Aguluzigbo the night before the burial, His Eminence Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese while extolling the Christian life style of the deceased and need for Christians to live lives worthy of emulation urged the Anyaorah family to trust in God and emulate the Godly virtue of their mother.
