Enugu-Ukwu stood still for Chief Emeka Kalu as he buries Mother-in-Law

Enugu-Ukwu Community, Njikoka local government area Anambra state weekend stood still as the remains of Late Mrs. Juliana Okeke, the mother in-law of a PDP Chieftain and National Coordinator, PDP Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, was laid to rest in a grand style.

Late Madam Juliana Okeke who is also the step mother of Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke was interred at her hometown of Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka LGA of the state.

She was buried amidst tears from her children, grand children, siblings, in-laws, admirers and members of the Catholic family.

The burial ceremony which was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life including a former Governor of Anambra state and Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in 2019 presidential election, Mr Peter Obi; Member representing Nnewi North/ Nnewi South/Ekwusigo federal constituency, Hon. Engr. Chris Azubogu; former Teanscorp CEO, Chief Val Ozigbo; Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor of One Love Foundation; High Chief Cosmos Oguguo (Okpokaji na Abah); Chief Ikenna Okafor(Ide Akwaeze); Barr. Bath Igwilo, SAN; and so many others.

In an interview, some of her children, in-laws and family members including Chief Emeka Kalu, said she was a role model and a true Christian in all standard.

They said her death was untimely but thanked God for giving them a rare mother and the best friend anyone could pray for, who was ready to sacrifice for them.

A reception was later held for guests including politicians from all parts of Anambra state to bid her farewell.
