Elibe’s Date With Destiny

0

Remarkably, today is the birthday of HRH Igwe MacAnthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo, EZEDIOHAMMA III na Alor.

Born on the 10th of March 1972- 49 years ago, Elibe, as he’s popularly known is one man that seems to have signed an irrevocable contract with destiny.

Obviously not a perfect man, no one is. Elibe has a perfect God that shows up for him all the time in perfect ways.

Like a cat with nine lives, he has been through many hurdles. There are very few people who can withstand the many tantrums and viciousness he has consistently experienced from a section of people, in nearly a decade and still maintain their sanity.

At 42 years old, Elibe was crowned the traditional ruler of Alor, as expected, he mounted the throne with so much gusto and chivalry expected of a young man. Within his very short moments on the throne, Elibe became one of the most popular monarchs in his clime. His charisma is definitely a Godgiven gift.

Elibe is one man that has the kindest disposition in the face of danger and antagonism, largly because as many may not know, Elibe’s peace come from within his soul and there is nothing that can steal that peace from him, not even his throne. Most of the times, it is the people around him that get so worried over his case than him. For him, nothing is too precious to loose sleep over in this transient world.

Elibe’s compassion is quite commendable, he’s readily available to offer a shoulder to those sincerely in need.

Every time I relate with Elibe, I rest on the fact that it’s indeed God who gives power, fame and affluence to whom he chooses and not to whom the world chose for Him.

A seasoned American Author, Ravi Zacharias once pointed our attention to the salient questions of life. When you think of it, really, there are four fundamental questions of life. You’ve asked them, I’ve asked them, every thinking person asks them. They boil down to this; origin, meaning, morality and destiny. “How did I come into being? What brings life meaning? How do I know right from wrong? Where am I headed after I die?”. In find answers to these questions, Elibe has contributed alot towards leaving the world better than he met it.
