EEDC Accuses TCN Of Power Outage In Awka, Ekwulobia Districts

Then Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC, EEDC, has criticized the outage presently being experienced in Awka and Ekwulobia Districts on loss of supply from the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Onitsha-Oji 132KV line, which according to it, affected Agu Awka and Nibo Stations.

A release signed by the head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh said the outage, which occurred on Thursday September sixteenth due to the tripping of the 132KV line, affected power supply to the entire Awka District as well as Neni and Agulu 33KV feeders under Ekwulobia District.

According to him, the entire Awka, Agulu, Nise, Awgbu, Aguluizuigbo, Nanka, Umuchu, Achina, Uga, Obodoukwu, Isuofia, Mkpologwu, Adazi-Nnuku, Adazi-Ani, Oraukwu, Nnokwa, Alor and Adazi-Enu with this development are out of supply.

Others affected are Obeledu, Akwaeze, Igboukwu, Oraezi, NAFDAC, Akpamkpisi, Agbadani, Eke Market, Jiodo, Igwe Nri, Nri Boys, Aguluezechukwu, Ula, Umuchiana, parts of Ekwulobia, Ihuokpala, Nkolo, parts of Oko Road, Agba, Ekuwlobia Road, Eke Ekwulobia, parts of Stadium Road, Ekekanaya, Ortom Place Hotel and Bank Road.

According to the release, it sincerely regrets the inconveniences the situation has caused its esteemed customers while assuring that supply will be restored as soon as the TCN team completes the maintenance.
