Administrator, Anambra State Hospital Management Board, Enugwu Ukwu, Dr Richmond Achugbu has lamented the periodic retirement of senior doctors without any replacement.

Achugbu made the observation while addressing heads of government hospitals in the state during their monthly meeting.

He however expressed optimism that the Government would respond to requests for urgent recruitment.

He also raised the alarm over the security challenges being faced by the facility.

He said the insecurity in the area had led to the looting of hospital equipment by hoodlums, calling for government prompt intervention.

Describing COVID-19 pandemic as a monster, mainly targeting doctors and other medical personnel, the Administrator called for carefulness among the medical personnel.
