Digital skills: NGO announces empowerment of 5000 Anambra youths to curb unemployment

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Hi- Impact Choice Limited has launched free training and empowering of 5000 Anambra youths through digital skills.

The Executive Officer of the NGO, Bright Alexander Nwakama, announced this while briefing newsmen in Awka, Anambra state.

He disclosed that the ICT Academy is primarily focused on reducing the number of unemployed youths through digital skills.

“Impact Academy is undertaking the Anambra Digital Programme to empower 5000 Anambra youths through the learning of digital skills. After training, we shall provide them with employment opportunities in our partnering organizations,” he said.

Speaking further, He said that the training would be detailed, covering basic to advanced levels of video editing, website design, cyber security, and more.

“In addition to imparting digital skills, we will place the youths in various organizations where they can work and earn money based on the level of their skills. We have partnerships with Amazon and Microsoft Excel, which provide international certifications after graduation. Our certifications are recognized both internationally and in Nigeria,” he clarified.

He also announced that the training is open to all youths living in Anambra state, while physical training also will be conducted.

While emphasizing on physical training, He said that his agency will establish training centers in all 21 local government areas of the state to encourage interested youths to attend training physically.

He further said that the age brackets for the training range between the ages of 16 to 30 years and those above with the capacity to cope with the rigor of the training. Nwakama advised those interested to take benefit of the training to visit their website or register in person.
