Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Welcomes Over 3,000 Defectors to APC in Abia

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, welcomed more than 3,000 new members from various political parties to the APC during an empowerment program in Akwete, Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State. Kalu highlighted the defection as a testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to Ndigbo, particularly through the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC). Among the defectors was former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Stanley. Kalu, recently honored with the chieftaincy title “Enyioha of Ukwa Kingdom,” urged continued support for Tinubu’s administration, promising more democratic dividends for Igbo communities.
