By Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, Awka
It was jubilation galore at the Church of The Holy Spirit Awka recently when an Anglican couple, Mr & Mrs Ikechukwu Paul and Happiness Ogbuebi smiled amidst dancing in thanksgiving to God to present their little daughter, Miss Anaiah Chiziterem Ogbuebi to the altar.
They were married for sometime and the gift of the little baby girl attracted rejoice, jubilation and Thanksgiving among members as the wife according to the Vicar has lost her vibes in the choir and activities in the church sequel to that temporary delay in having a baby of her own.
The Vicar Church of The Holy Spirit who is also the Chaplain, Paul University Awka, Ven.Dr. Onyeka Egwuonwu had prayed with the family and assured of God’s intervention in that regards.
Ven.Dr. Egwuonwu as well encouraged Christians to always support the work of God without looking for validation from men.
Ven.Dr. Egwuonwu noted that the attitude of waiting for applause of men before giving to God does not attract the reward of God.
He noted that it’s good to give God bountifully even for men’s validation but it must not enter one’s head, in order to attract God’s glory.
Speaking at the 2025 General Harvest of the Church of The Holy Spirit, Awka, Ven.Dr. Egwuonwu encouraged Christians not to allow the word of God in them to get contaminated.
He reminded Christians to know that their Redeemer Liveth, adding that their faith was supposed to cover their spouses faith.
He appealed to Christians to remove bitterness and replace with the word of God as the word of God rebrands, and. the word of God is Jesus Christ.
Ven.Dr.Egwuonwu who is also the Archdeacon CHS Awka Archdeaconry noted that problems exist to taste Christians faith.
He informed the congregation that having problems now does not mean you shall not get to the promised land, as weeping may endure but joy comes in the morning. He reassured that if God has not approved the gathering of your enemies,
