Anambra community visits Police headquarters over killing of 2 senior police officers

The executives of Oraifite Improvement Union, Ekwusigo Local Government on Monday paid a condolence visit to Anambra State Police Command over the killing of two Senior Police officers in Oraifite on December 2.

The unfortunate incident in Oraifite claimed the lives of ACP Oliver Inoma-Abbey, the Area Commander of Ekwusigo Local Government Area and ASP Joseph Akubo, the SAR Commander for the same Local Government Area.
The delegation to the state police headquarters Amawbia near Awka was led by the President-General of Oraifite, Sunny Igboanuzue, member representing Ekwusigo in Ananmbra State House of Assembly Onyebuchi Offor and representative of Obi Oraifite, HRH Igwe Daniel Udoji,Chief Sunday Enekwizu among others .
Igboanuzue said the delegation was at the Command’s headquarters to condole with the command over Dec.2 2019 unfortunate incident that resulted to the death of Abbey and Akubo.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased and reiterated the commitment of the community to aid efforts of security agents to unravel the cause of the incident.
The Commissioner of Police CP John Abang thanked the Oraifite community for finding time to visit and sympatize with the command over the loss of it’s two senior police officers.
Represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Finance and Administration, DCP Chris Owolabi, Abang regretted that the killed officers wee discharging their duties at the time they were murdered.

Owolabi assured the delegation on behalf of Abang that investigation was ongoing; and that the long arms of the law would definitely catch up with the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
He further urged them to convey the esteemed regards of the Commissioner of Police to Isi Obi of Oraifite, HRH Igwe Daniel Udoji.
