Governor Willie Obiano

The Members of Anambra State Civil Society Network (ANCSONET) sincerely, appreciate Chief (Sir) Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike) Governor, Anambra State, on the uncommon favour done to the Civil Society Community in sundry appointments and inclusive participation.

The most recent was the appointment of Civil Society representatives as members of the State Community Policing Advisory Committee (SCPAC)
This was closely followed by inclusion in the recently inaugurated State Procurement Council.

The Security and welfare conscious Governor had earlier coopted members of the Civil Society in the State COVID-19 Action Committee, to address all overarching challenges of the pandemic.

This development means a lot to us in historical relevance, as it marks the first time Civil Society will enjoy such measure of recognition by any administration in the State.

Your Excellency, please, permit us to remark that you have just subtly broken records and scored another first, which will linger in our hearts, that of Ndi Anambra and indeed Nigerians, for several years to come.

Your other outstanding citizen friendly accomplishments include the Community choose your projects initiative, Anambra Community and Social Development Projects (ANCSDPs) Operation Light up Anambra and Network of roads programme, across the State, the Health Insurance Scheme, popularly known as ASHIA, establishment of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, ANSIPPA and the Anambra Small Businesses Agency, ASBA, for Ease of Doing Business; a strategy that is transforming the State to a modern Dubai of Africa.

Your Excellency, Odogwu Omambala, we also, sincerely, appreciate your pretty and amiable wife (Osodieme, Mama Anambra) whose pet project, the Caring Family Initiative (CAFE) is conciously adding the needed tonic to your tremedous development drive.

CAFÉ is steadily giving succour to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) children, indigent widows, mentally challenged and other vulnerable groups and individuals.

The Not-for-Profit, outfit which gives vocational training and support to the vulnerable is currently constructing magnificent homes and handing over to poor widows. This is marvelous and miraculous.God Bless Osodieme.
