Cardinal Okpalaeke, Bishop Okoye, others Salute Ekweozo on His Ozo Title Conferment

History was made at Umuawulu community as one of her sons and the founder of Ide Global Movement, High Chief Dr. Azubuike Austin Ekweozo was crowned Ozo Owulu Ebeteghete of Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra state.
Ozo title is a revered traditional chieftaincy title celebrated by Umuawulu/Mbaukwu communities.
The conferment of Ozo title on High Chief Ekweozo serves as a tribute to a legacy defined by exemplary leadership, his unwavering philanthropy and steadfast commitment to the advancement of his people.
The prestigious Ozo title was preceded with a high mass presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye.
Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke, the clergy, religious and lay faithful were all present in their numbers to witness the conferment.
Others present include: politicians, captains of industries, other religions and community leaders including the Anglican Church Supervisory clergy incharge of Umuawulu parish, Cannon Nnamdi Ajoku and his members, former Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide , Sir Afam Ogene, the traditional ruler of Umuawulu kingdom, Igwe Joel Maduadichie, the presidenut General of Umuawulu, Christopher Ekweozo, High Chief Christopher Ndubuisi, among other dignitaries.
During the homily, the catholic Bishop of Nnewi, Most Rev. Jonas Benson thanked God for using Ozo Ekweozo to touch lives and what He will still use him to do in future.
While urging him not to relentless in his philanthropy, he equally reminded him that gift goes with responsibilities.
The prelate noted that confirment of any title in Igbo cosmopolitan society is an appreciation of a good work to mankind and the entire society.
“In the olden days, no title holder sleeps outside his homeland and no stolen properties should be found in his compound. Such a title holder respects himself in the public; he doesn’t
drag for food and doesn’t eat food cooked by another woman. These are ancient traditional practices.
“For the fact that the president General of Umuawulu community and your traditional ruler were all here in persons shows that you are in good relationship with your people and that is what is expected of every stakeholder in all the communities”
