Bridgehead PG takes to sanitation exercise, urges traders to be wary of fire disasters

The President general of Bridge-Head Market, Onitsha, Anambra State, Hon. Chinedu Ezekwuike has embarked on sanitation exercise in an effort to keep the Market environment clean.

Ezekwuike fondly Called ‘Akwaeke Umuchu’ also warned traders to be wary of fire outbreaks and always turn off their lights and other appliances to avert fire disasters especially during the yuletide. 

He gave the advise while addressing journalists in his office shortly after sanitation exercise in the Market.

He said “I want to use this opportunity to urged traders to always switch off all electrical appliances in their shop before going home after daily busineness activities.

As harmattan is gradually approaching, it is dangerous for traders to leave electric appliance on  in their shops and go home.” 

The trade union leader further explained that the essence of the entire Market to embark on sanitation was to assist State government for their efforts to keep the state clean.

“We have been conducting sanitation in our Market but this time around, it is more intensive and special and that is why every Union in the Market was closed down and joined in the exercise. As you can see, everywhere is neat and all these is to support our Governor.”

He affirmed that traders are elated on the governor’s leadership style, saying that when a  good leader is enthroned the followers become happy.

“Any decisions taking in the Market is always unanimous. All of us agree with a decision before it is carried out. I can’t make single opinion and that is why everybody joyfully participated in the sanitation” Said Hon. Ezekwuike.

He, however, rained Christmas prayer on traders and also cautioned them to always take precautions in the line of their businesses especially as the Christmas is near.

“Let traders be focused on their business activities especially in this season. God said I will bless who I want to bless,” So, take it easy and apply  fear of God in your business. May God through this season replenish every trader what he lost during sit-at home and recent fire disaster.”

Some traders in the Market who spoke to our reporter and commended the President general during the sanitation includes; Christopher Anyanti, second task force timbers line, Mrs. Beatrice Nwankwo Odigbo line, And Mr. Cajetan Eze Ogbogwu line amongst other.
