Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka Elects New PTA, As Archdeacon Egwuonwu Tasks Christians

Bishop Crowther Seminary, Awka is poised to serve students better with the appointment of Reverend Canon Jonathan Ikpoyi as the Principal of the revered best all boys school by the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, PhD.
This is coming as the Parents Teachers Management Committee ( PTMC) also known as Parents Teachers Association, (PTA) of the school has elected a seasoned administrator, Ambassador John Ifejika as the PTA Chairman for Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka.
Ifejika emerged alongside Mrs Ngozi Okeke as Vice-Chairman, Dr Uwaezuoke,I.C as Secretary and Okonkwo Amara as Assistant Secretary, while Pastor Chuka Onyeama is the Provost. Ifejika defeated Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD in the election, as Comrade Odogwu even voted Ifejika and congratulated him for emerging victorious, pledging his unflinching support to the executive.
In his accepted speech, Ambassador John Ifejika assured to partner teachers and parents to ensure proper upbringing for the youngsters in solidarity to the mission and vision of the forefathers of the Bishop Crowther Seminary, Awka.
He insisted that the old glory of the Bishop Crowther Seminary, Awka shall be restored for the school to be among the best in not only Anambra State but Nigeria at large, adding that by the time his term of office is over, the students, old boys and parents shall be happier with their feats.
The new Principal of Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka , Reverend Canon Jonathan Ikpoyi reassured parents that their wards are in safer hands as he is committed and dedicated to give his best for the school, God helping him and the management team as well as the teachers.
He informed that the students shall within one month learn all the anthems alien to them including the state anthem, national anthems.
He promised not to disappoint God, himself, parents, teachers and the trust of Archbishop Ibezim who entrusted him with the responsibility. He promised the best shall be coming out of the students going forward.
Meanwhile, the Vicar, Church of The Holy Spirit, Awka, Ven.Dr Onyeka Egwuonwu has tasked Christians to have positive attitudes always, since attitudes determine most altitudes in life.
Ven.Dr. Egwuonwu who spoke during the Faith family Harvest Thanksgiving service encouraged those with wrong attitudes or with partners with wrong attitudes to go to God in prayers rather than complaining and lamenting.
He reminded Christians that their primary responsibility is to love their neighbours ,even as he described fathers at homes as channels of blessings. He decried that some fathers are irresponsible, thus, giving room for Satan to operate in their lives.
He was worried on the level of rascality and indolent among youths sequel to unbecoming attitudes of some fathers in the home.
The CHS Awka Vicar frowned at the gap and at some instances erosion values passing down due to lack of mentorship between today’s fathers and their children, praying for God to restore mentorship and guidance between fathers and their children as future leaders for a better society.
He encouraged everyone to have good relationship with God as it affects their own relationships with their fellow men; calling on Christians to remember they were nothing but pencils in the hands of the Creator, hence the need to be at peace with all men.
Also, during Peace family Harvest Thanksgiving service led by Sir Chinedu Ilokanuno, the family shocked everyone by their preparedness during the bazaar sales. Their Thanksgiving was awesome.
Ven Dr Egwuonwu has said that sacrifice is love, hence anyone who has not given or sacrificed cannot claim to love. He pointed out that 10 commandments was the summary of 613 laws. He insists that law condemns ,while love tolerates.
As well, the Joy family Mini Harvest was colourful and ended in glory as The Joy Of The Lord.flew on his children at the Basilica of Divine Grace ,All.Saints Church, Nibo. The Chairman, Joy Family, Prof Ifebi Ogonna and Woman Leader, Lady Chinwe Aghamba assured Joy family shall continue to do its best for God, as there is no competition in the lord’s vineyard.
This is coming as an Ordinand, Anomali Christian Chukwumuanya from Warri Diocese, described love as the summary of the law,hence love is the essence of the 10 commandments. He informed that in the history of humanity, nobody has been able to keep God’s love.
He reminded however that Jesus Christ is the only one who showcased such love practically because He is the end of the law for righteousness.
