Awada DPO promises water tight security

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Awada Police Division, a suburb of Onitsha, Anambra State,CSP Lucky Samuel, has assured the people of providing water tight security in the area.

Samuel, who is a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) gave the assurance when he received in audience the members of Ndigbo Elders’Forum ( NEF) in his office led by its Secretary Chief Unah Zachus saying that he would particularly beam his search light on Ezeiweka Road and Owerri Road by Upper Iweka where there have been outcry of late due to cult activities, drug peddling and criminals who snatch People’s bags and handsets.

The DPO said in the next two years they would have completed quarters for stranded Policemen among other projects he is embarking on in the division.

Earlier NEF Executives through their secretary, had thanked the DPO for his efforts to ensure that crime is reduced in his Division to the lowest ebb and other developmental strides in the division.

The secretary said the courtesy visit was part of their familirisation tour of the activities of the DPO, eulogising him for the renovation of the division, installation of CCTV and solar powered light among others in his Division.

He asked him to do something on the increasing crime wave at Owerri Road, Ezeiweka and other parts in the division, where there have been been complaints of criminal activities by suspected criminals and Cultists.

In his remarks, the Dpo thanked the members of NEF and vowed to tackle all the alleged criminal activities within the division without further delay.
