President Tinubu’s administration or Economic team can be likened to hiring highly qualified individuals with a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences/Technology from a prestigious university in 1998 to work and manage organizational Technology Policies between 1999 to 2003. These PhD holders did so well and are celebrated. But after that, they could not upgrade their knowledge to meet the realities of 2024 challenges
In 2024, the same man decided to hire the same individuals to handle the same Technology Policies but who has not kept up with the advancements in the technology field that has evolved over the years, to oversee technology-related matters in 2024. It is akin to entrusting technology policies to someone who lacks knowledge of the latest technological advancements.
Imagine a scenario where such an individual may not be familiar with the current programming languages and new trends in technology not minding the ‘tech expert’ tag due to their PhD degree qualifications in computer science/technology of 1998. This oversight could potentially lead to detrimental consequences in the technology sector that they were appointed to manage. They will only get the sector Crashed!
Just as a top-of-the-line typewriter of 1999 to 2002 would be obsolete and ineffective in 2024 without embracing technological upgrades, similar challenges are happening in the governance under Tinubu’s leadership or team.
This sheds light on the practical implications of Tinubu’s government policies or Tinubu’s Economic Policy of ‘Trial and Error’.
Forget it, the team cannot get the result the country is looking for!
Even Investors have lost confidence in their ability.
The first step is to start confidence building as part of the critical Policy strategy before any real short-term, medium-, and long-term policy intervention can be injected with expected results.
May Nigeria Succeed 🙏
