ASOMACS PRESIDENT TUTORS UNIZIK STUDENTS ON HOW TO VOTE, AMIDST TENSION

Comrade Maximillian Ekwomadu, the President of Association of Mass Communication Students ASOMACS, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka chapter on Tuesday educated the 100level students of the department on how to vote using the UNIZIK school app.

 Comrade Ekwomadu, a 400level student of Mass Communication was on political Enlightenment on how to vote during the Faculty of Social Sciences election of unizik coming up soon. 

He introduced some of the contestants from the department running for positions like Comrade Ibekwe Esther Chidinma running for Vice President for Faculty of Social Sciences, Amobi Pearl for SUG President, Azolibe Oscar for SUG PRO.
The ASOMACS President pleaded with them on the need to vote in the right person into power and that the students should please comply to this exercise.

He, the President, showed and gave details on how to vote saying that they needed to get their Student Emails.
Rounding up, he offered to help of all the departments executives to anyone who hasn’t gotten their school Email.

The students were led by Comrade Barr. KK Ezekwelu, PhD, a staff of Mass Communication.

Meanwhile, as the Student’s Union Government (SUG) elections near, tensions are raising, seats are heating up, ears are itching, hearts are pounding on who shall take on the available titles, wear the crowns of selection, shoulder the burdens and responsibilities of heading the student body?.

 This was why on Tuesday during MAC 111 (Introduction to News Writing and Reporting) lecture, a lecturer and staff of Mass communication, Dr Chukwudubem Ezekwelu led few executives of ASOMACS (Association of Mass communication Students) to address the 100 level students of Mass communication at the Prof Chinyere Stella Okunna Auditorium.

Dr Ezekwelu ,a lawyer and former student leader encouraged the students to participate actively in the up coming Elections. He encouraged them to come out in their numbers and support ‘Ndi Nke ha’.

Dr Chukwudubem rallied the students to do away with their political apathy and engage in the electoral affairs of the student body.

“Your certificate will not only be about your academics” he said.

“But, also about your Character and participation in the things that are significant”.

He told the students about how their ‘political capacity’ was of dire importance and their participation in selecting the right officials would be a step towards achieving students interest supremacy.

Contesting the position of Vice President is Ibekwe Esther Chidimma, who took the liberty to say “Hi” to the students as she was introduced. Amobi Pearl for President, and Azolibe Oscar for P.R.O (Public Relations Officer).
