Archbishop Ibezim Tasks Fathers Fellowship, As Reverend Engr. Anaemena Warns Against Anger

Archbishop Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim of the Province of the Niger and Diocese of Awka Anglican Communion has asked Anglican Christian Men to be warriors by confronting earthly challenges in Jesus Christ’s name.
Archbishop Ibezim gave the task to Christian men at St Peter’s Anglican Church Amawbia during the 2026 Christian Men’s prayer summit.
The prayer summit with the theme: Men are warriors Joel 3:9, Ephesians 6:11 witnessed an overwhelming attendance of men across the Diocese from different church parishes for the first time to the admiration of the Archbishop.
Archbishop Ibezim decried that Christian men run away from responsibility instead of embracing risks with the mindset that no success comes without risk.
He urged men not to run away or shy away from opposition but to see opposition as a stepping stone for an awaiting success as it makes one see and think sharper. He reminded Christian men that Nehemiah saw opposition while building the tabernacle yet he finished the tabernacle in 52 days.
He emphasized that petitions from oppositions against anyone in authority doesn’t stop God’s plan but makes the vision bearer to see clearly and more energized in actualizing the demands of the office.
The Anglican Archbishop of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Dr Ibezim urged men to discover stones in their lives that can kill Goliath, adding that in this clime, money rules instead of building strong institutions.
He encouraged men to be like warriors who confront challenges with faith, courage, discipline and divine direction.
According to Archbishop Ibezim men who stand their ground trusting in God’s righteousness wins every battle, noting that life is a battleground not a playground.
He added that anyone not standing for God is already losing ground because being silent in spiritual matters is not peace, hence one must make a decision to stand and not be defeated.
He encouraged a renewed spirit, not a sluggish spirit among Christian men, urging them not to be intimidated by the size of problems. He noted that men must humble themselves before God.
Meanwhile, the Chaplain, Federal Science and Technical College, FSTC, Awka, Reverend Engr. Chijioke Anaemena has said that the problem of human beings is anger.
He noted that anger is not good for family health, noting that when you can’t control yourself in any situation, you haven’t surrendered to the master.
Rev.Engr. Anaemena lamented that man is created to be selfish but if man is able to restrain himself from self, he becomes a winner and selfless.
He added that the problem of man is his level of surrender to the flesh, even as he urged man to surrender his desires and decisions to God.
Reverend Anaemena informed that the problems of marriage are lack of surrender to the Master — Jesus Christ.
He said once God captures anyone, He refines the emotions that control man, noting that wrong emotion kills.
He encouraged Christians not to end up in hell from Church as a Christian because it’s the worst that would happen to a Christian.
He warned that if the first thing that comes to your mind is revenge when offended, you haven’t submitted to the master Jesus Christ. He advised that Christians should be constrained by the word of God but not limited by the world.
The highlight of the Church service is family thanksgiving and churching of the son of Reverend and Mrs.God’s Plan Onukwufor.
Also was the birthday thanksgiving of Mrs. Ifeoma Okafor as well as thanksgiving for a successful surgery by her daughter Mrs. Lovelyn Anyaeji.
