Anambra Market Inaugurates New Exco, Urges Members To Live By Their Oat Of Office

A nine man caretaker committee appointed by Anambra State Government to pilot the affairs of Amalgamated Bakery Material Dealers Association, Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area, was on Wednesday, inaugurated at the market hall.

Those inaugurated included, Chukwudi Ezeife, chairman, Ossy Ifem, vice chairman, Okongwu Okechukwu, secretary, Chinedu Amaemeka, Assistant secretary, and Obiasulu Anayo, financial secretary

Others were, Oduka Uzochukwu, treasurer, Onwuka Patrick, Public Relations Officer, PRO, Igwilo Ebube Chukwu, provost 1, and Ogbonna Chukwuebuka, provost 2,

Inaugurating the committee, the President General, PG, of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna, charged the members to live by their oath of office and avoid acts capable of dragging them to the mud.

He reminded them that they have a limited time unlike elected executives that have number of years to stay as stipulated by the Constitution.

“I am proud of Bakery Materials International market and as such don’t allow devil to disorganize you. Work for the interest of the market you represent and the traders therein,” he pleaded.

The PG who was ably represented by the ASMATA Patron and President General of Ogidi Building Materials International market, Chief Jude Nwankwo, reiterated that Bakery Materials International Market is one of the best markets in the State.

Paying glowing tribute to the out gone chairman of the market, Chief Benjamin Ezeneme, he described him as an achiever even as he also described Governor Charles Soludo’s government as democratic.

Swearing them in, Barr. Nwokediuko Chudi, who was the founder of the market, advised them to abide by their oath of office, recalling that the market was to conduct an election but the state government stop the conduct for caretaker committee members to pilot the affairs of the market.

“The market has not gotten any crisis and I advise the new caretaker committee members to always seek the advice of the elders of the market for smooth running of the market.

In his post inauguration speech, the caretaker committee chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Ezeife, said that he worth being the chairman having served as vice chairman.

On his priorities he said security, but lamented that some places in the market were dilapidated for about seven years now as a result of lack of maintenance, pointing out that he would first maintain the roads.

“We are like a family in the market, there are no touts in the market. I advise the traders to join me in developing the market,” he pleaded..
