Obi Circulates Happiness in Nigeria Through Philanthropy, Says Okunna

Former Commissioner for Budget and Planning in Anambra State, Professor Chinyere Stella Okunna has said that through his philanthropy, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party Mr. Peter Obi has continued to spread joy in Nigeria. 

Obi recently visited various places where the inhabitants experienced tragedy last among them, Plateau state.

But in particular, Okunna who is a member of team Peter Obi expressed delight with Obi’s assistance to the health sector of institutions which she described as “astounding generosity and philanthropy”.

Such philanthropy has taken Obi to the College of Nursing Sciences of the Diocesan Hospital at Amichi and the School of Nursing at Iyienu Mission Hospital/Teaching Hospital of the University of the Niger at Ogidi, among others.

He is usually accompanied by two core members of “Team Peter Obi”: Prof Okunna and Prof Patrick Nky Obi.

At each institution, Obi’s arrival and subsequent announcement of his financial support of N10 million immensely gladdened the hearts of the students and the Proprietors: Bishops Ephraim Ikeakor of Amichi Diocese, Anglican Communion and Bishop Owen Nwokolo of Diocese on the Niger, Anglican Communion.

In his statement, Okunna wrote: “It was a sight to behold: The outpouring of love by the students and other Stakeholders exemplified by the ear-splitting ovation which characterizes his appearance everywhere nowadays, eloquent testimony to the feelings of the people for this much-loved and much-appreciated Man of the People.

“At each institution too, he commended the great humanitarian work being done by the Bishops and pledged his continued support for their efforts.

“As always, we pray the good Lord to continue to bless the Benefactor and his Beneficiaries”, Okunna concluded.
