Why IPOB should form alliance with APGA – Aisha Yesufu
Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, has revealed why the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, should form an alliance with the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
Yesufu noted that rather than wasting its goodwill on issuing sit-at-home orders, IPOB should form an alliance with APGA so they can decide the fate of the Southeast in the next presidential and other elections.
In a series of tweets, Yesufu said an alliance between APGA and IPOB would make it difficult for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to control the Southeast during the presidential election.
She wrote: “Imagine if IPOB works with APGA to control the political power in the South East? Bring the best candidates to be nominated. Show the rest of us how people with competence, character and capacity in leadership positions can change a region. Use the power to negotiate at the Federal level.
Everyone knows that South East is for PDP at the presidential level. It shouldn’t be so. South East should be for whichever party is ready to give southeast the best deal!
“Use your political might to negotiate. Let PDP sweat for it too.”
