Anambra to boost security with 110 patrol vehicles, CCTVs

Anambra State government has concluded its plan to launch the second phase of 24-hour security master plan code named Operation Mkpochapu II tomorrow.
Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, stated this in Obosi, Idemmili North Local Government Area while speaking at an event held in commemoration of 2019 Ofala festival of Igwe Chidubem Iweka.
According to Gov, Obiano, the state has a duty to consolidate gains already made in the security sector by regularly tweaking the master plan to make it water tight and responsive on round-the-clock basis. He therefore warned criminal elements who may still be hiding anywhere in Anambra State to relocate or get ready to be flushed out by force.
To match up words with action, about 110 patrol vehicles and numerous super smart Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) monitors as well as other sophisticated security gadgets have been procured to boost the operation, with highly motivated crack teams on red alert at every nook and cranny of the state.
Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, disclosed this when Association of Anambra Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture called on him in his office at the Jerome Udoji state secretariat Awka ahead of the 2019 Anambra International Trade Fair slated to hold at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Sqaure, Awka, between November 25 and December 5.
According to Adinuba, the Boston brand CCTVs to be installed at strategic locations public spaces in major areas of Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi – before finally expanding to other parts of the state – are the first of their kind in Africa.
The commissioner also used the forum to inform the delegation that Gov. Obiano has made all logistics available free of cost for smooth take off of the Court of Appeal in Anambra State.
