Anambra 2025: PG, Fegge Residence Assured Of Soludo’s Re-Election, Their Eligiblity …….As Former Chairman Handed Over To New Chairman

The President General, PG, Fegge Landlords Association, Chief Okwudili Obinwune and the residence of Father Joseph Street Fegge Onitsha South Local Government Area have assured of Governor Charles Soludo’s re-election come Nov 8 gubernatorial election and their eligibility to vote.
They gave the assurance during the handover of the past exco led by Chief Obinwune to the new exco led by Mr Ikechukwu Diji, who were elected on May this year to pilot the affairs of the area till the next 4 years.
Obinwune in an interview with Newsman affirmed of their eligiblity to vote, noting that the residence of the area always vote to whoever they agreed to vote for whenever it is the time, assured that this registration exercise would also help their few members who have not registered to obtain their voters card.
In his speech prior to the handover, he charged the new executives to continue from where they stopped, to maintain the peace and orderliness they have initiated in the area for peace and development.
On his achievements as the past chairman, he stated that they were the first street to install security gate at their street, that they were also among those street that received transformers from the Local Government Mayor in exchange of the former transformer, and the opening of an account on behalf of the area for accountability, among others.
Contributing, Chief Charles Emeka Agha,(Igwe Immaculate Heart), one of the landlords in the area, stated that they are 100 percent APGA and Governor Soludo is the consensus candidate whom have being noted as the best governor so far.
However, he mentioned that the governor constructed the access roads to their area, Ziks Avenue, Niger Street, Port Harcourt Road and other roads in Fegge, pointing out that the governor is not competing with any candidate in this coming gubernatorial election.
Igwe while thanking the Council Mayor for their new transformer, appealed to him for stepping the transformer down which he promised to do. He also commended the former Chairman of their area, Obinwune for being the brain behind the level the area has attained by bringing them together under one umbrella.
On Governor Charles Soludo’s good governance, one of the Stakeholders in the area, Chief Ben Udeoji Mgbenka reiterated that he has never seen a thing like this in Anambra State and vowed that they would not allow people to sabotage the effort of the state government in his development strides in the state
According to him,”His infrastructural developments are wonderful, we are pleased with his governance. He is performing marvelously.
He advised that those agents that collect revenues for the government should be cautioned on the way they harass and intimidate people, pointing out that this is an election period and some certain things happen during this time which might be a challenge to the good works of the governor, added that these people are the voters who need soft landing to ease the difficulties in the country.
Mgbenka advised the new exco to eschew from whatever that would bring differences and bitterness among the members of the area, recalled that the past exco had challenges based on negligence on the commonest people in the area, reminded the new exco to carry them along because they are the people who are always aggrieved.
The Chief Security incharge of the area, Emmanuel Idoko who reassured them of intact security and support, also testified that the area is doing well and they are in cordial relationship with them.
He stressed that the security in Fegge as a whole is intact, noted that the Mayor of the area is the brain behind the security been enjoyed in Onitsha South because they work together.
In their separate views, the former APGA Ward Chairman of the area, Obele Aloysius and the Vice Chairman of the area, Stanley Chibueze Ogodiegwu stated that the reelection of Governor Soludo is assured, stating that they are solidly behind him.
The duo thanked the past exco for their wonderful leadership style and advised the new exco to emulate the past exco and do far better.
