Anambra 2025: Onitsha South Mayor Calls For Peaceful Co-Existence Of Party Members …As APGA Fegge 3 Brainstorm For November 8 Guber Election, Honours Outstanding Members

In a strategic move to ensure massive mobilization of voters for the November 8 gubernatorial election, the Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Hon Chief Emeka Orji has called for unity and peaceful co-existence among party members, by forgiving whoever that offended them and work towards the achievement of their collective goals.

The Mayor while saying this at the heart to heart Town Hall meeting for the old and new members of APGA Fegge 3 at Uga Street Sports, disclosed that he has forgiven everybody that offended him in any form, urged the members to follow suit.

He also vowed that they would go to the guber election in peace and deliver Governor Charles Soludo in a landslide victory despite all odds from the opposition parties, adding that the governor has achieved a lot in the state and called on Ndi Anambra and residence to appreciate him by re-electing him for more developmental strides in the state.

In an interview, the Onitsha South Party Chairman, Chief Uche Umennakenyi said that he has been touring round the wards in the council area and advice stakeholders and executives to ensure frequent meeting for voters registration and other important issues that should be attended to.

In addition, he also said that “We must deliver come Saturday by-election and the guber election which is slated on November 8.

He advised the decamped members to come back to APGA, stating that APGA is like a family and also a moving train, added that a labourer has his reward which is after the work. Moreso he advised the stakeholders to never relent in their good works because they would be rewarded after the re-election.

In his words, the former Councillor of the ward, Hon.Tochukwu Umeobieri stated that none of the wards in Onitsha South area meet frequently as Fegge ward 3. He also pointed out that meeting frequently is very important for the good of the ward, the local government and the coming gubernatorial election in general.

Umeobieri who was one of the awardees at the meeting also mentioned that Fegge ward 3 must win in this election because they have been winning and attributed it to their former executives whom he said they did very well and know the game very well.

The Councillor representing Fegge ward 3 at the Local Government, Hon.Chinedu Okoro said that the essence of the meeting was to bring the old and new members together and to strategically brainstorm on how to re-elect Governor Charles Soludo who has done a lot to Ndi Anambra and still doing more.

He stressed that the three members who were honoured at the meeting was for their outstanding financial contributions for the development of the ward and the local government at large.

Hon.Okoro added that many of their ward members were also honoured few months ago for their impact in the ward both financially, socially, morally and otherwise.

He lauded the Mayor of Onitsha South. Hon Orji for his contributions and unalloyed support to the ward.

In contribution, one of the stakeholders of the ward, Chief Promise Egbeji, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Admin Foundation, advice party members to stick to APGA despite all odds because the governor has been doing well.

According to Egbeji, “We don’t need anything that will take us off from APGA, we will ensure we deliver the governor come November 8 gubernatorial election.

“As ward three is gearing up for the governor’s re-election, we are making sure that we are prepared to withstand any obstacle”, Egbeji posited.

The Ward Chairman, Hon Kingsley Okafor thanked the members of Fegge Ward three for their effort so far in ensuring the mobilization of voters for the coming gubernatorial election and other issues at hand.

He added they have made some steps in ensuring that the decamped members revised and rejoined APGA which he said has a lot to deliver for the state.

The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Award of the Best Chairman of the Year to the former LG Party Chairman, Chief Mofus Ezeoba

The duo who were given an award of good work for their Financial Assistance Performance were Hon Tochukwu Umeobieri and Chief Innocent Otubulu, CEO Cent Franco Construction Company Ltd.

During the meeting 300 pieces of T shirts and 100 caps donated by Chief Otubulu was shared among members

Present at the meeting was Barr Chibueze Emmanuel, one of the stakeholders, Mrs Ijeoma Ekesiri, Onitsha South Woman Leader, Barr Stanley Okafor, Council Legal Adviser, Council Secretary, Barr Paul Onuachalla, Ward 3 woman leader, Mrs Nkiruka Ekwedike and other party faithful.
