Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has restated the commitment of his administration towards extending electricity to rural communities in the state to ensure stable power in the near future.

Mr. Emeka Ezenwanne, the Commissioner for Public Utility said this in an interview on Thursday.

Ezenwanne revealed that in Obiano’s transformational projects in rural electrification, “There are some communities that have never seen electricity since existence, but the Governor has taken electricity to them.

“The transmission line from Otuocha junction to Eziagulu-Otu through Enugu-Otu to Mkpunando has been completed and was commissioned recently.

“These are communities that have never seen electricity all their life. I became emotional when I saw the joy of the people as the hitherto dark villages became illuminated by bright lights,” he said.
