𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻 𝗡𝗷𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗟𝗚𝗔
Information reaching us has it that an aspirant in the ongoing primary election for Njikoka 2 Constituency allegedly engaged in the mass printing of accreditation cards for unaccredited individuals to vote in Abagana Ward 4 and Nimo Ward 1.
At Ward 4 Abagana, where the election is holding at Amaenye Party House, there were influx of people who are not members of the ward joining the queue of already accredited voters with fake cards and signatures. The development sparked protests from party members and locals, which eventually led to the cancellation of the election process at the venue.
A similar incident was reported at Ward 1 Nimo, held at Uruegbe Village Square, where the same pattern was allegedly repeated but resisted by party members and stakeholders.
The APGA leadership and relevant authorities should urgently strengthen the accreditation process and ensure strict monitoring to prevent manipulation and protect the credibility of the primary election.
