The Managing Director of the Anambra State Anti-Touting Squad (SASA), Mr. Monday Nwokoye, has reacted to a viral video circulating online involving one of the agencyโ€™s officers accused of stealing money during an operation in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.

According to Mr. Nwokoye, the video is authentic but the incident did not happen recently, as it occurred in 2025. He revealed that the officer involved was immediately subjected to internal disciplinary measures, adequately punished, and subsequently dismissed from the agency.

The SASA boss explained that the officer was part of a team deployed for an operation targeting an alleged drug dealer in Oba. Following the arrest, the suspect reportedly raised concerns that some money went missing during the operation.
