Ex-Senator Jibril Aminu Dies at 85

Former senator and Nigerian ambassador to the U.S., Professor Jibril Aminu, has died at 85 after a prolonged illness. He served as ambassador (1999–2003) and represented Adamawa Central in the Senate (2003–2011). A renowned cardiologist, Aminu is survived by two wives and nine children.
