2024 EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION: ANAMBRA STATE NORTHERN CHAIRMAN SUES FOR PEACE, STABILITY OF NIGERIA

The Chairman Northern Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria,Anambra State Chapter,Alhaji Garba Haruna,has advised Nigerian Leaders to fear God by doing only the things that would please Him and humanity.

Alhaji Haruna,who spoke yesterday during press interview soon after the jumai prayer at Amawbia praying center to mark this year’s celebration by the Muslim faithful in Anambra State,advocated collective ecumenical doctrines and practices by both Muslim and Christians faithful in the Country with a view to saving Nigeria from the lingering hunger,inflation and and economic hardship.

He called on Nigerians to irrespective of their faith , especially the Muslims to strictly uphold the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad,which he said were hind on peace and building of serene society, assured the people that it is only God had the ability to change the misfortunes Nigeria and Nigerians are passing through today not man.

Alhaji Haruna,who doubled as the Seriki of the Hausa Community in Awka,the capital city of Anambra State, overtly stated that the Muslims Communities were living in a very cordial relationship with their host State and Communities in Anambra State and thanked God for the pace of work Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration had putting on ground in all corners of the State.

The Northern Leader,who said that the Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has through his massive road construction in every Community of Anambra State brought good governance down to the people,hence making the people happy,called on Nigerian Leaders to always fear God by doing their best and leave other things to God.

He assured Nigerians that whatever they are passing through today that God is aware of them and charged the Muslim faithful in the Country to always believe in God and pray without seasons with a view to enthrone the desired change, peace and stability in Nigeria.

He noted that the 30 days Ramadan fasting, afforded them an opportunity to pray for Nigerian Leaders, forgiveness of sins and ushering in a lasting peace and stability in Nigeria as no progress would made in a place devoid of peace, togetherliness and team work by Nigerians irrespective of ethic inclinations.

In their separate speeches,the Sultan of Awka and a one time Special Assistant to Anambra State Governor on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Musa Bello as well as the Chief of Staff to the Northern Leader in Awka, Mohammed Musa Jika, described the hardship Nigerians are passing through today as not an easy one, pleading with Nigerian Leaders to always bear the people at heart by implementing programmes capable of assisting them to survive the hard times in the Country.

The jumai prayer was officited by the Chief Imam of the Muslim faithful in Anambra State,Mallam Umar,while the congregations were dressed in their best attires celebrating the anchor of their faith, Prophet Muhammed .
