2023: Dr Nwachukwu urges electorates to contribute quota to good governance

… says only very few politicians are honest and accountable

Christians and electorates nationwide have been urged to actively participate in politics as a way of contributing their quota to good governance.

They were also called upon and advised to vote for politicians with conscience and fear of God during elections. The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in 2023 elections, Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu made the call today during a one-hour PFN Radio program at Odenigbo Radio FM, Obosi, Anambra State.

Dr. Nwachukwu, a renowned surgeon and Medical Director, Princeton Specialist Hospital and Orthopaedic Center, Awka, stated that he joined the race of Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency topseat to change the narrative in representational governance. He maintained that the mission of the people of God is to bear lasting fruits through which God can be glorified. He also urged Christians to vie for political seats so that they can transform the country.

In his words, “If you are a christian and you don’t have your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), you are part of the problem. We need to be patriotic

“If you leave politics for people who does not have conscience, they will lavish the resources of the people. We want to make the difference. Only few politicians are accountable and it should not be so.

“Every six months, politicians are expected to call for town hall meeting and give account of there stewardship. Good governance has to do with conscience.

“In 2023, we are going to vote individuals who we know that God will use to sanitize the system. When the rightous are on the throne, the people rejoice.

“If you collect money from politicians before you vote, you are part of the problem. Our country will never be better if vote buying continues. If we insist that we will not collect money before we vote, if we refuse to be bought, then, the change will commence.

“Those you voted in the last election, have they call meetings and give you update about the allocated funds? In the next election, we need to vote out any politician who did not perform well”, Dr. Nwachukwu concluded.
