‘100 Million Boys’ Robbery Gang sends an official letter of robbery to Lagos residents

‘100 Million Boys’, an armed robbery gang, have sent an official letter of notification to the people of Surulere area in Lagos state of their ‘robbery visitation’.

Odogwublog correspondent observed that since the Lagos state government declared total lockdown as result of Coronavirus pandemic, the activities of armed robbers have been on a daily increase in the state.

Lagos resident say the area is now the epicenter of robbery attacks in the last few days in what has been termed ‘Hungervirus’ on the streets.

As the world continues to battle the pandemic, Lagos State, the epicenter of COVID-19 in Nigeria with the highest toll of confirmed cases, is going through one of its roughest moments in decades and the worst of times amid the pandemic lockdown.

In the last few days, residents have trooped out to guard themselves against the escalating robbery attacks and cult-related activities occurring day and night. Hoodlums are using the lockdown imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari as an excuse to perpetrate criminal activities such as rape, looting and inflicting physical injuries.

Affected areas include Abule-Egba, Baruwa, Egbeda, Dalemo, Akinde, Dopemu, Ogba, Iyana Ipaja, Meiran and Alakuko. Also troubled are some Lagos-Ogun border communities like Akute, Agbado, Alakuko and Ojokoro.

The ‘100 million boys’ in a letter addressed to the residents of No. 30, Teniola Street, Airways Ijeshatedo, Surulere, warned the residents against informing the Police of their visit.

The group warned the recipients of the letter to corporate with them or risk what they tagged as “bloody outcome”.

A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity with Odogwublog correspondent said the boys are serious with their letter as they visited few streets away from his street but, they were over powered by the Police.

Another said, “it’s no joke! We battled them last night here in Ijeshatedo. Teniola street is just a few streets away from my street. No sleep last night. Gun shots all through but at last the police were able to repel them.”
