Youths should love God, love themselves

Youths in Anambra state have been urged to place God first, love Him by first loving themselves.

The Chairman, Ofuobi Age grade, Eziama Akanese ,Amanuke ,Awka North local government area, Anambra State, Ozo Nwakaibeya, Enwenetaozo, Chukwuemeka Hyacinth Umeadi-Okoye, stated this during the Age Grades annual meeting recently.

Ozo Chukwuemeka Umeadi-Okoye noted that without love for God, nobody can love himself and others hence his admonishing that Anambra youths should love themselves in order to think positively for the development of their communities in the state.

He enjoined youths to ensure they think no evil against other youths but to present them before the throne of God for His blessings.

Ozo Chukwuemeka Umeadi-Okoye condemned the escalating get rich quick syndrome among youths now that has diminished the spirit of hardwork and “can do” spirit of Igbo youths of yores.

He encouraged every youth to ensure he or she gets a skill requisite for survival in life rather than depending on others for survival or engage in all sorts of evil machinations to belong to the rich class.
He encouraged well to do in the society and politicians to plan for youths to acquire skills and education rather than arm them to be thugs and rascals in the society.

He advocated the Age grade culture for every society as it helps to unite people from same culture and society together for communal development and growth, nothing that many youths without Age grade affiliation find it difficult to bring their children home when married.

He thanked Amanuke youths for the desire to shun all forms of get quick rich syndrome for a sustainable development of Amanuke Town and peaceful transition from rustic rural community to urban community.
