The Member Representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Engr. Chris Emeka Azubogu has appealed to the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps to increase their efforts and visibility to reduce traffic jam in Anambra State.

Engr. Chris Emeka Azubogu has appealed to the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps to increase their efforts and visibility to reduce traffic jam in Anambra State

Engr.  Azubogu stated this while hosting some officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps led by the Nnewi sector commander at his country home, Umunnealam Village, Umudim Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA today.

The Federal lawmaker decried a situation where people are trapped for hours at various locations due to traffic jam in Anambra State.

Engr. Azubogu urged the officials to synergize with other commands within the state and neighbouring states for easy movement of people and goods during the Christmas and the New Year celebration.

“While I appreciate your effort on traffic management, I wish to appeal to you  to increase your efforts and visibility especially at this season.

” A Situation where people travel for five hours to get to Asaba from Lagos, only to be trapped for over  three hours at the Onitsha head bridge that ordinarily, should not take five minutes to cross, is not a good development for our people and state.” He said.

Anambra State is one of the states that road users usually find it difficult traversing the state during Christmas and New Year celebration due to traffic jam. The team also discussed with Federal Lawmaker on other areas of collaboration that will strengthen FRSC as an institution.
