Why we brought Mupwaya to EEDC – Spokesman

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) says it brought Dr Ernest Mupwaya to join its top management team to enable it actualise its sustainability and transformation agenda.

Mupwaya joined the top management team of the EEDC as Executive Director in-charge of Technical and Operations, following his appointment by the Board of Directors of the Company.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Head, Corporate Communications of EEDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh, on Sunday in Enugu.

Ezeh, who said that his appointment took effect on April 25, 2022, noted that Mupwaya is bringing on board his over 30 years of experience garnered in the electricity industry, part of which was as the Managing Director, ZESCO, Zambia.

The spokesman said that the new Executive Director in-charge of Technical and Operations would bring on board his vest experience as Commercial Director, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), where he was later elevated to the position of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Ezeh said that Mupwaya has a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from California Intercontinental University, USA (DBA); a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Glamorgan and University of South Wales, United Kingdom, and also a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Zambia.
