Why Senator Stella Odua might not be a senator again

The chairman of all chairmen of Senator Stella Odua Campaign managers in Anambra North Senatorial zone has decided to dump her political structur in protest of her “use and dump” strategy.

The managers who briefed newsmen yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, gave Odua 14 days ultimatum to address their grievances or face their wrath.

The chairman, Chief Fabian Ohanaya (Mentor) and the secretary, High Chief Dan Uzoma, recalled that in 2011, the managers were appointed in all the wards in the seven Local Government of the Area were given the mandate to deliver Senator Stella Odua.

The chairman said they swung into action, tasked each manager to deliver his/her Ward area or be forced to resign or be removed.
In line with that mandate, they said, all the managers delivered their wards.

“So, Odua was delivered inspite of strong challenge from other political parties.
But she did not do anything for the managers until many years after the election after she had promised to address that challenge” she bought some motorcycles (Okada) and Keke Napep and allowed it to rot in Ogbaru resident.

It was at the tail end of her first term in office that she started distributing the already rain affected Motorcycles and Keke Napap, while many was given ordinary mickshift table, a carton of soap, etc at St Jude Catholic Church Fegge, onitsha which they publicly rejected.

A month after the unceremonious distribution, Anambra state government disbanded Okada, leaving many of them confused and destabilized.

In 2015 general election, the chairman said that they went into action again and as usual delivered Stella Oduah with the promise to reward them but up to date has not done anything.

He said Oduah rather has abandoned them and started recruiting new people from other political parties such as All Progressives Congress (APC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Labour Party (LP), among others who will work for her in the next election.

They alleged that Senator Oduah has been empowering the new recruits, giving them Cars instead of the people who worked hard to deliver her in 2011 and 2015 respectively.

Against this backdrop, the managers said that it has been established that Oduah is not a reliable politician and use and dump has become her stock in trade.

They therefore, called on the people of Anambra North Senatorial zone to reject her in event she presents herself in 2021 again.

“The trick of making unfulfilled and rash promises cannot be condoned by the people.

“Hon. Lyda Ikpeazu never treated her supporters in such despicable and humiliating manners and we cannot be maltreated in that way”.

The managers said “we are giving her 14 days to address this ominous exclusion and ill treatment being meted out against all managers,

Efforts made to hear from the senator proved futile as her phone rang out but she did not pick.
