Valentine Ozigbo Mourns Late Nze Chude Onyemauche Okpala
Valentine Ozigbo, the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, on Thursday, February 11, 2021, condoled with the family of the late Nze Chude Onyemauche Okpala, who died at the age of 81.
The late Nze Okpala is father to Nonso Okpala, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of VFD Group Plc.
While speaking at the funeral ceremony held in Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr Ozigbo described the late octogenarian as a “exemplary father”.
“I wish to use this opportunity to pray for his soul to continue to rest in peace,” Mr Ozigbo said.
“I also pray that his legacy continues to live on. His death is also a reminder that one day we will all die, so we should live a life worthy of emulation,” the respected business leader and philanthropist continued.
Ozigbo, who is a leading governorship aspirant in Anambra State’s Governorship election of 2021, consoled the bereaved family and encouraged them to take solace in the fact that their father left a solid legacy which he urged them to carry on.
The funeral ceremony was attended by several notable personalities including the Managing Director of Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Ade Fadebiyi; the CEO of Edward & Jones Contracting Services, Chike Agbakoba; ace fashion designer, Mai Atafo, among others.
Ozigbo was accompanied to the event by his lovely wife, Mrs. Ojiugo Ozigbo; a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Tim Egboka; and a former Chairman of PDP in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Ikechukwu Akaeze.
