Uzuegbuna Receives Royal Blessings from Igwe Mbaukwu

APGA challenger for Anambra Central Senatorial Seat, Uzuegbuna Okagbue today obtained a royal blessing for the race, from HRM Igwe Peter Nwokike Anugwu, Igwe Mbaukwu.

HRM Igwe Anugwu is the second longest serving monarch in Anambra State after Igwe K.O.N Orizu of Nnewi. Igwe Mbaukwu is also a patron of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, alongside Igwe Nnewi.

During the visit which lasted for about an hour, Igwe Mbaukwu extolled Uzu, as a man of character, virtue and courage. Congratulating him for successfully completing his service to the government of Anambra State under Governor Willie Obiano, Igwe Anugwu who is the longest serving monarch in Anambra Central commended the quality of his service, diligence and focus, after which he blessed him declaring that Uzu is the right choice for Anambra Central at the senate. “Uzu my son, I am proud of you”, Igwe Anugwu said. Speaking to those seated in his Palace, Igwe Mbaukwu continued, “I know his father and I know him. It is not easy to serve at the level he did, but he did and returned without issues. Sometime ago, he came to me and said he is running for senate. I said he has my support. Now, he came to show me that he has formalised his aspiration. He is my candidate and we will support him”, Igwe Mbaukwu said emphatically.

Uzuegbuna Okagbue’s visit to Igwe Anugwu is part of his ongoing consultation with stakeholders of Anambra Central. So far, Uzu has the highest favourable ratings across all strata of Anambra Central Senatorial zone.
