Barr. Ikenna Odionu former President General admonished those saying Uzu is too young to stop at once, as the constitution has a clear age provision which Uzu’s age is not in violation. “For those saying that Uzu is too young, the constitutional age requirement to run for senate is 35 years. Uzu is 44 years and that is the appropriate age to do the job”. Others who spoke include Kossy Okonkwo a former community leader, who commended the role Uzu played in resolving communal crisis over land ownership between Ogidi and Umunnachi which has lasted for almost 100 years before Uzu stepped in and resolved it. He concluded that “Uzu must be supported because he has what it takes to serve at the senate”. This is not far off from what Mrs. Carol Ikeaba, a retired civil servant said. For her, “Uzu deserves our support. We are behind you, Uzu”, she declares.
