UNIZIK: JCI hosts her awareness campaign outreach on COVID 19

The Junior Chamber International known for short as JCI Unizik collegiate chapter, has on the 26th and 27th days of October hosted her first public awareness program on Covid 19 since revitalization.


The JCI Unizik chapter partnered with the master card foundation in order to carryout this special function, through the office of the Student Union Government (SUG) health care department. The awareness campaign was tagged #eDeyUrHand and #ItsUpToUs.


On the 26th day of October they performed at the school’s 3rd gate, popularly known as the Iffite gate. There they sanitized students, and also gave out free sanitizers and free face masks to students whilst educating them on the dangers of Covid 19, and the importance of being vaccinated.

On the 27th being Wednesday, the organization hosted an open seminar for her members, and other students who cared to join them. At the seminar, a renowned pharmacist by name miss Onwudiwe Genevieve did explain all about the pandemic, and the students shared their lockdown cum pandemic impact stories amongst themselves.


Junior Chamber International is an international organization that is known for the development of youths. It has been in existence since 1910 and it was founded in America by Henry Genssenbre. It has been in Unizik since 1999, after engr. Peter Duru introduced it. Presently the organization is on call for membership, as it has just been revitalized after 4 years of inactivity due to mismanagement.
