Unizik 14th Convocation Kicks Off With Interdenominational Prayer
The Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (Unizik) has commenced activities marking its 14th Academic Convocation ceremonies with an Interdenominational prayer.
The event hosted numerous men of God from different denomination with the likes of Ven. Benson Udezo and Ven. Obiora Alokwu present.
During the homily, the Rev’d Fr. Dr Oregbunam welcomed the vice Chancellor to the event while also congratulating the convocation graduands. He pointed out that convocation is sending the university graduates to the next level of life and time to thank God for His work.
He insisted that the fruits of this convocation is not the effort of one person but the general contribution of all staff of the university.
He also warned the staff not to see themselves as contenders but as brothers and sisters.
The Preacher also advised the convocation graduands to put their trust on God alone and not to the ability of any Lecturer, while pointing out that the step of a good man is directed by God.
The priests present at the convocation prayer dedicated the institution to God and handed over the graduands in the hands of God.
Odogwu Blog correspondent Azokam Alokwu reports that the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University during his speech reassured that his administration is Committed to the best for the institution.
He called for their support always to actualize his mission and vision for the University.
