Unbelievable! A journalist’s farm ‘Ugbo Azu Ulo’
A female journalist from Awka Anambra state , Mrs Tochukwu Ifejika has surprised many with her exploits in the farm behind her house
The journalist who works with Voice of Nigeria has also a poultry farm aside vegetables farm.
Mrs Ifejika popularly known as ‘Americana’ by peers in journalism said she was shocked by her exploits in her vegetable farms and poultry.
She encouraged all to embark on similar ventures to ensure food availability is sustained to enhance national food security.
In her words:”Never knew it’s achievable but Corona Virus Lockdown created opportunities of trying out new things.
“Since the lockdown I have not bought vegetables- ugu, green, curry and scent leaves from the market.
“It’s so amazing and fulfilling to produce such in a small corner of your compound'”.
Mrs Ifejika concluded: “This my farm and mobile farm have awakened something great towards cultivation so much that if I have land I would go into farming big time. As it were, I’m looking for who can give out his or her land on lease”.
